ABOUT SANDY COLLORA…

The Sandman, as he is called by his friends, is an accomplished artist, designer and filmmaker with over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry. His work has been seen in major motion pictures, TV shows, video games, theme parks, comic books, toys and collectibles. He started his career with the Stan Winston Studio in 1988, working on “Leviathan” and “Alien Nation”. From there Sandy moved on to a variety of different studios throughout the rest of the 80’s and 90’s, lending his talents on “The Abyss”,  “Jurassic Park”, “Spaced Invaders”, “Robocop 2”, Total recall” and “Men in Black”. 2000 saw the birth of his production company Montauk Films, where Sandy went on to make what is still one of the most downloaded short films of all time, “Batman Dead End”. Signing with commercial production company LEVEL 7, he directed commercials for got milk?, Volkswagen and Pocari Sweat, for which he won two ACC silver awards for best foreign spot and best director. In 2010, he directed his first feature film “Hunter Prey” which was distributed all over the world on DVD and Blu-ray, which was also shown on Showtime Extreme and SyFy in Europe. Currently, Sandy is writing Volume 3 of his popular book series; The Art of Creature and Character Design and prepping his sophomore feature directorial effort “Shallow Water”. Sandy lives in Huntington Beach, CA and is an avid surfer, angler and free diver.
